CircleCI Named a Contender in DevOps Platforms Report

SAN FRANCISCOCircleCI, a leading continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform, today announced that Forrester Research has recognized the company as a Contender in “The Forrester Wave™: DevOps Platforms Q2 2025. In its profile of CircleCI, the report notes: “CircleCI is a good option for enterprises that are hindered primarily by the time to build, especially when building for large or diverse platforms.”

In the report, Forrester evaluated CircleCI’s CI/CD platform. CircleCI received the highest score possible in the build automation and CI criterion as well as environment management where Forrester specifically notes features that reduce unnecessary compute, helping engineering teams optimize the cost of builds. Additionally, CircleCI received the highest possible score in the platform cohesion criterion.

CircleCI remains committed to solving the deepest and gnarliest problems encountered during the build, test, and deploy process,” said Rob Zuber, CTO of CircleCI. “By being laser-focused on a CI/CD offering, we’re able to deliver an unparalleled experience for customers in the most critical phase of the development pipeline, the build process. Not just for the teams with simple pipelines, but at scale for the entire diversity of build needs within an organization.”

Rob Zuber | Chief Technology Officer at CircleCI

CircleCI’s best-in-class approach to CI/CD enables teams to innovate confidently by validating change across the entire application ecosystem, including external components (open source, AI generated code, AI models) and dependencies. As AI continues to disrupt the DevOps landscape, forward-thinking engineering teams recognize that when a large part of an application’s value is delivered outside of code, they need a specialized CI/CD orchestration layer that serves as the fast feedback cycle needed to deliver software at speed.

CircleCI helps us scale up the build environment without having to spend months on building a Kubernetes cluster," said Ranbir Chawla, Senior VP Eng at Ritchie Bros Auctioneers. "We never run into capacity issues, and the start-up was fast.”
